Dr. Ansari is an interventional neuroradiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital
and a Professor of Radiology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery at Northwestern University
Feinberg School of Medicine. He is a nationally recognized expert in minimally
invasive percutaneous and endovascular procedures of the brain, head/neck and spine.
He has published extensively and is an independent NIH funded investigator, having
been awarded multiple research grants in areas of MR imaging and angiography. Dr.
Ansari currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of
NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS) and is co-Chair of the FDA registry for devices
used for acute ischemic stroke intervention (DAISI CRN).
He received his medical and doctoral degrees from Jefferson Medical College,
Philadelphia, completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of
Illinois, Chicago, and both Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology fellowships
at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
